Richmond Hill St Andrew's is one of the most popular venues for Church Weddings in the Bournemouth area.

We are told there are three reasons for this:-

Ours is a beautiful church. It can accomodate over a thousand people but looks cosy with fifty because of its curved pews that snuggle round the front. We won a civic prize for our church gardens, ideal for photographs and excellent car parking space.

We welcome those who want to marry in church whether for the first time or after a previous disappointment. We try and strengthen relationships and share the rich resources of Christian faith and love.

We are thanked for making the ceremony personal. Every wedding is different because each couple is different. We encourage couples to think out all the details including music and readings to reflect their own special concerns.Whether this is making use of our magnificent Church organ, your own selection of classic music, solo singers or even brass bands.


Arranging a Wedding

If you are a couple that would like to arrange a wedding at our church, we wish to encourage you to come along on Sunday and see the church at worship and join in. This will allow you to also experience our welcome and meet the Minister. We can then meet to talk over your hopes and how and when we can help. We encourage people who marry here to share in worship because we see this as part of our preparation for Christian marriage and marriage in church.

We also know that we can help best as we get to know you as a couple, as well as being the bride and groom. Part of our commitment as a church is to share the promises that are made.

We too, will stand by you 'in sickness and in health' and offer our support. Whenever anyone who marries here asks for guidance, we are ready to listen, encourage and pray for them.
