The Literary & Musical Society



The Richmond Hill Literary and Musical Society
 has been a popular event for the last 140 years. The secret of the L&MS's success has been the friendly welcome, the informailty and the lively and varied selection of attractions. There is always something to suit everyone.

This season's delights - Mondays at 7.30 pm

This season’s events commence on 26th September with the Harvest Supper  accompanied by The Old Tyme Songsters.                                               

October events:

3rd - Brian Pettit: Illustrated talk on wildlife of Hampshire and dorset
10th - The Allen Singers in concert
17th - Introducing Joel lacey: Editor of 'Dorset Life'
24th - Jean McMillan gives an illustrated talk on an Ecuadorian Adventure
31st - Phillip Ventham: 'We will remember them'

November

7th - Benevolent Evening supporting Youth Cancer Trust

Everyone is welcome to share in our friendly and informal gatherings

Everyone is invited to join us for the entire season for the sum of £16.00. Or if you prefer you can come along for a single evening for just £3.00 payable at the door (Price is inclusive of a cup of coffee or tea and biscuits). 


Please Note: There is an additional charge for the Harvest and Christmas Suppers and tickets for these must be purchased in advance. 

During our season, the L & M Society meets at 7.30 pm on each Monday in the main church lounge attached to the church in St Stephen's Road. The season ends on April 2011

All are most welcome whether church goers or not.
