We had forty-four children at our Christmas party last year and at least as many grown-ups. The entertainment included party games, a treasure hunt with the older children, Christmas music and Marvellous Mark the Magician with his pet dragon. Food was provided by mums and dads and Susan as usual did a huge amount of home made baking including 200 mince pies. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the children left with presents and prizes.

| Everyone listens as the Rev Martin Ambler tells the children one of his many amusing stories | A truly fearsome pirate takes the children on a dangerous treasure hunt to find gold dubloons deep in the church vaults. Those who survived the expedition came back with chocolate gold coins. The pirate kept the real ones and hasn't been seen since. |
